A BizWorld Initiative
Communication. Leadership. Problem-solving. Teamwork. Financial literacy.
These are the skills that define the next generation of leaders, the ones that outlast any job title, any technology, and any economic shift. BizWorld has been teaching them for 29 years.
What BizWorld teaches
Technology changes. Industries rise and fall. The economy reinvents itself every decade. But the ability to communicate an idea, lead a team, solve a hard problem, and manage money. Those skills have defined successful people for generations. They're the foundation of every leader, every entrepreneur, every person who builds something that matters.
Articulating an idea. Persuading a room. Connecting with people at every level: from a classmate to an investor to a team they'll one day lead.
Motivating a team. Making decisions under pressure. Taking ownership of outcomes and inspiring others to do the same.
Approaching hard questions with creativity and persistence, and the confidence to try, to fail, and to build something better.
Collaborating across differences. Listening as much as speaking. Building something together that no one could build alone.
Understanding how money works, how value is created, and how to build something sustainable. The foundation of real economic independence.
Why these skills matter more than ever
We've spent a generation telling young people that technical skills are the path to success. The market is now telling us a more complete story. The ability to lead, to communicate, to solve problems together. These are the skills that define who thrives in any economy, in any era. They're what employers struggle most to find. They're what entrepreneurship education has always been about.

Technical skills are increasingly commoditized. The skills that remain uniquely human: the ability to lead a team, build trust, think creatively, and navigate complexity. They are more valuable than ever, not less.
You can use technology to build a product. But building a company, leading people, managing relationships, making hard decisions together, that takes the skills we teach. Every entrepreneur needs them.
The students in school today will lead the businesses, communities, and institutions of tomorrow. Entrepreneurial life skills aren't a nice-to-have. They're how we prepare them to step into that role.
BizWorld has been developing these skills in young people since 1997. Through hands-on simulations where students build real businesses, make real decisions, and discover what they're capable of.
The reality
Across the United States, school districts are facing the deepest budget cuts in years. And when budgets are cut, entrepreneurship education is among the first to go. The schools hit hardest aren't in wealthy zip codes. They're in low- and middle-income communities, the places where the skills BizWorld teaches could change the most trajectories.
Cut from federal education funding
Since 2025, more than $12 billion in federal education spending has been disrupted, eliminating and cutting dozens of programs that low-income schools depend on.
More cuts to low-income districts
The lowest-income school districts lose one and a half times as much funding as the wealthiest districts under current federal budget proposals. The gap is widening, not closing.
For qualifying classrooms through BizWorld scholarships
Educators in low-income communities can apply for a BizWorld scholarship and receive our full programming for as little as $0. Because every student deserves access, regardless of what their school can afford.
Access to entrepreneurial education should not depend on a school's zip code. But right now, it does. That's what we're working to change.
